This piece dates to around the 1840s 1870s and is possibly of American make, though we aren't sure. The face of the pin is done in beautiful cobalt blue guilloche enamel, translucent to let the machine turned decoration of the gold beneath show through. Applied on top of the enamel is a lovely design of various flowers and foliage, decorated with real seed
