<div class="prsntr_descr"><h2 class="pophd">LAURA</h2><p class="">Laura is the original Ranger, the first to join the ranks back in 2016. Her menagerie of animals is impressive and her passion for them even more so.</p><label class="lbla1">Why are you an Animal Club Ranger?</label><div>I love that I can work with my animals all day and help people overcome their fears and uncertainties around them. I’ve had animals all my life and am drawn to rescue animals. This role just means I can rescue even more! </div><label class="lbla1">Which of your animals has the cheekiest character?</label><div>Tiddles, my tortoise. He loves to chase the dogs, rabbits and guinea pigs around the garden, nipping them on the bum if he gets chance. </div><label class="lbla1">What’s the animal fact which still astounds you?</label><div>Snails lay their eggs through their neck! And will hold onto them, if the place isn’t right to lay, only laying as them they’re hatching</div></div>

<div class="prsntr_descr"><h2 class="pophd">Melissa</h2><p class="">I’ve always loved owning a variety of different animals and learning about them, so I wanted to share them with others. Becoming a Ranger means I can share my wonderful animals with everyone and help people overcome some fear and worries they may have with some animals. </p><label class="lbla1">Why are you an Animal Club Ranger?</label><div>I’ve had animals all my life and they are my world. Since owning my first reptile at 12, a bearded dragon, I haven’t looked back. I’m always looking for and am eager to find a new addition to my animal family. </div><label class="lbla1">What’s your favourite animal?</label><div>My favourite animal is my guinea pigs, they have such strong personalities, and I love to watch them ‘popcorn’ when they are happy and excited. </div><label class="lbla1">What’s an animal fact that will stun us?</label><div>Guinea pig have an odd amount of toes having four toes on their front feet and only three on their back feet, helping them to burrow in the wild.</div></div>

<div class="prsntr_descr"><h2 class="pophd">ALBY</h2><p class=""></p><label class="lbla1">Why are you an Animal Club Ranger?</label><div>Since watching every nature documentary, especially David Attenborough’s Planet Earth I’ve loved animals. Living in Asia exposed me to so many different species, I was keen to start my own collection when I returned to the UK. Talking &amp; teaching about animals seemed a natural step, so becoming an Animal Club Ranger was the perfect role for me. </div><label class="lbla1">What’s your favourite animal?</label><div>Ackie, my monitor lizard. She has so much personality. And it’s amazing to watch her hunt. </div><label class="lbla1">Tell us an animal fact we won’t know</label><div>Woodlice are more closely related to crabs and lobsters, than to insects.</div></div>

<div class="prsntr_descr"><h2 class="pophd">EWAN</h2><p class=""></p><label class="lbla1">Why are you an Animal Club Ranger?</label><div>I have always had a love for animals and conservation. This is a great role to share these passions with others. Many animals are misunderstood so I hope by showing &amp; explaining them up close to people they understand them better. </div><label class="lbla1">Who’s your naughtiest animal?</label><div>Bandit, my male tai beauty snake. He escaped from his vivarium. I searched for him for hours without any luck…until I left the room and noticed he’d been watching me the whole time from one of the light fittings! </div><label class="lbla1">What’s the most amazing animal fact you know?</label><div>A snake swallowing its food is the equivalent of a person swallowing a watermelon. Whole. </div></div>

<div class="prsntr_descr"><h2 class="pophd">KAM</h2><p class="">Graduating with a degree in Zoo Management, Kam knew their passion was to teach others about the wonders of the animal world.</p><label class="lbla1">Why are you an Animal Club Ranger?</label><div>There’s something special about introducing animals to children (and adults) and seeing their first interactions. I’ve had pets all my life but sharing them with others is fun and great to share my love for them. </div><label class="lbla1">Which is your funniest animal?</label><div>My Hognose snake, Noodle. He likes to drink with his whole body in the water bowl; taking a bath whilst he drinks. At home, when he does it, we call it Noodle soup!</div><label class="lbla1">Tell us an animal fact which will amaze us</label><div>Leopard gecko tails are amazing. Not only can they store food in them and use them to communicate, if they’re in danger they can make parts of them drop off! </div></div>

<div class="prsntr_descr"><h2 class="pophd">REBECCA</h2><p class="">Growing up around animals; both her parents and grandparents kept livestock, meant that Rebecca’s admiration of the animal world started very young.</p><label class="lbla1">Why are you an Animal Club Ranger?</label><div>When I realised I could work with my exotic animals very day I was over the moon. It’s my prefect role. I really enjoy helping people understand these amazing creatures better. And believe if more people loved animals the world would be a better place. </div><label class="lbla1">Who’s your naughtiest animal?</label><div>Most definitely Boo, my boa. When I’m holding her she likes to get her tail into my back pocket and steal my phone. She’s so strong so I struggle to get it back off her before she drops it on the floor! </div><label class="lbla1">Tell us an animal fact we won’t know</label><div>Tarantulas have a paw on each leg. And each paw has two, tiny retractable claws (like a cat’s) that help them to climb. </div></div>

<div class="prsntr_descr"><h2 class="pophd">Elijah</h2><p class="">I wanted a pet and my teacher recommended a chameleon. Turns out, after extensive googling to understand them more, I really liked reptiles. And from there started volunteering in a local reptile shop at 15. My passion and knowledge have since grown. And now I am here, presenting and showing everyone my wonderfully weird animals! It’s truly amazing </p><label class="lbla1">What’s your favourite animal?</label><div>My favourite animal out of all animals has to be the Sonda Island Pit Viper. Their stunning colours matched with their fierce look make for a truly epic species. A snake I would love to own one day </div><label class="lbla1">Are any of your animals naughty?</label><div>One time my centipede got out in the middle of the night and entered my shorts. It was a not pleasant surprise </div><label class="lbla1"></label><div></div></div>

<div class="prsntr_descr"><h2 class="pophd">DAVID</h2><p class="">Having had animals all his life, for the past 20 years and more, he has rescued and rehomed wildlife and exotic pets. </p><label class="lbla1">Why are you an Animal Club Ranger?</label><div>Being able to share up close the more exotic animals with people and help them learn more about these amazing animals. </div><label class="lbla1">Which is your cheekiest animal?</label><div>It has to be Hemlock, my young rook. He enjoys being in the aviary &amp; flock with other birds but prefers spending time with us humans in the house. However, he also likes to cause trouble; poking holes in food bags, hiding toys in shoes and stealing anything we’re holding and flying onto the roof or into a high tree. Persuading him down to get that item back can take quite a while! </div><label class="lbla1">What’s your favourite animal fact?</label><div>Pigeons can recognise differences in patterns better than humans. Some have been trained to examine paintings and pick out the fake quicker than most art experts! </div></div>

<div class="prsntr_descr"><h2 class="pophd">CHARLOTTE</h2><p class=""></p><label class="lbla1">Why are you an Animal Club Ranger?</label><div>It all began in lockdown when I took in unwanted animals, giving them a home. Being a Ranger allows me to not only rescue more but help educate people about the care and responsibility of owning them. </div><label class="lbla1">What’s your favourite animal?</label><div>It has to be rats. They’re so intelligent! And will form a strong bond with their owner. I love my rats; they’re like little pocket puppies! </div><label class="lbla1">Tell us an animal fact we won’t know</label><div>Snakes have forked tongues. Not to taste but to smell. They can then work out from which direction it’s coming from. </div></div>

<div class="prsntr_descr"><h2 class="pophd">MOLLY</h2><p class=""></p><label class="lbla1">Why are you an Animal Club Ranger?</label><div>I used to work with livestock on farms and ran animal handling &amp; education sessions with the public. I’ve always wanted lots of animals myself, and as my pet family it felt like the natural step to work with my own animals. I can’t wait to share them with everyone. </div><label class="lbla1">What’s your favourite animal?</label><div>My favourite animals are rats. I love how sociable and friendly they are. They all have different personalities. </div><label class="lbla1">Tell us an animal fact we won’t know</label><div>Rats giggle when you tickle them, but it’s too high pitched for humans to hear! </div></div>

<div class="prsntr_descr"><h2 class="pophd">Libby</h2><p class=""></p><label class="lbla1">Why are you an Animal Club Ranger?</label><div>I have a lot of experience with animals from working within stables and also breeding small animals like rabbits and guinea pigs. I just love sharing how wonderful animals are with others.</div><label class="lbla1">What’s your favourite animal &amp; why?</label><div>It’s got to be a turtle. They are elegant, peaceful but also absolutely beautiful. </div><label class="lbla1">Tell us a funny story about one of your animals</label><div>Our (mine &amp; Jake’s) tortoise Squirtle was so small when she was a baby. She used to eat her food by getting inside her bowl and becoming a Squirtle Salad! </div></div>

<div class="prsntr_descr"><h2 class="pophd">Jake</h2><p class=""></p><label class="lbla1">Why are you an Animal Club Ranger?</label><div>I’ve previously worked within falconry. And adore animals. Becoming a Ranger means I can share my passion. </div><label class="lbla1">What’s your favourite animal &amp; why?</label><div>My favourite animal is the wolf because they never leave one of their own behind and always work together as a team. </div><label class="lbla1">Tell us a funny story about one of your animals</label><div>Our (mine &amp; Libby’s) tortoise Squirtle was so small when she was a baby. She used to eat her food by getting inside her bowl and becoming a Squirtle Salad! </div></div>

<div class="prsntr_descr"><h2 class="pophd">Donna</h2><p class="">I studied animal science and management at college and completed various placements such as vet nursing, zoo keeping, stables and farming, plus animal science too. I now work part time as a lecturer in animal management teaching students who want to progress into a career with animals. I have hand reared several animals including puppies, kittens, ferrets and most recently orphaned weasels. </p><label class="lbla1">What’s your favourite animal? </label><div>I have too many favourite animals! I love cats, both big and small, elephants, lemurs anything from the mustelid family (ferrets, otters, badgers, weasels etc) and frogs, to name a few. The more I learn about different animals, the more I love! </div><label class="lbla1">What’s your favourite animal fact?</label><div>Cats have a genetic mutation that stops them from tasting sweet things. </div><label class="lbla1"></label><div></div></div>

<div class="prsntr_descr"><h2 class="pophd">Fearne</h2><p class="">I studied an animal management course at college to help pursue a career with animals. Becoming an Animal Club Ranger is the prefect next step. </p><label class="lbla1">What’s your favourite animal?</label><div> I am a lover of all animals. Big, small, fluffy, scaley, they&#039;re all great to me! So, it’s hard to pick a favourite. My dream pet would be a Brazilian Rainbow Boa. I think they are absolutely gorgeous! </div><label class="lbla1">What’s your favourite animal fact?</label><div> Snakes have skin between their scales which helps them stretch out if they eat a large meal or are gravid (have eggs or babies inside them). </div><label class="lbla1"></label><div></div></div>
