I studied animal science and management at college and completed various placements such as vet nursing, zoo keeping, stables and farming, plus animal science too. I now work part time as a lecturer in animal management teaching students who want to progress into a career with animals. I have hand reared several animals including puppies, kittens, ferrets and most recently orphaned weasels.

Why are you an Animal Club Ranger?
The more I learn about different animals, the more I love them. And I wanted to pass that onto other people.
What’s your favourite animal?
I have too many favourite animals! I love cats, both big and small, elephants, lemurs anything from the mustelid family (ferrets, otters, badgers, weasels etc) and frogs, to name a few
What's the animal fact which still astounds you?
Cats have a genetic mutation that stops them from tasting sweet things.
